The 11,000 acre moors at Danby in the North York Moors represents some of the finest driven
grouse shooting in the UK. The moors can be shot over two days and the bags for the day vary
from 100 brace early in the season to 60/80 brace later in October / November.
The Danby Moors are situated on the northern boundaries of the North York moors with the Esk Valley lying east / west through the middle of the moors. The North York Moors is one of the largest areas of uninterrupted heather moorland in Europe and the landscapes are stunning and provide an impressive backdrop to a day’s shooting.
